This plugin hasn’t been tested with the latest 3 major releases of WordPress. It may no longer be maintained or supported and may have compatibility issues when used with more recent versions of WordPress.

SL-Map uses an asynchronous wrapper to the API to allow JavaScript to rapidly process all second life links (SLURLs) and append the region image to the link.

This plugin is a proof of concept for how a JSON-only API combined with cross-domain XHR has more wide-ranging applications than the current API.

  • Blog post before hovering over link (there is no visual indication that the SLURLs have been processed).
  • Blog post after hovering over link, showing that the map has been added.

  1. Upload the sl-map directory to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
